The final match of the Minjar Football Tournament took place on Saturday in an exciting manner. In the final, Hoshiarpur FC defeated DFA Tarn Taran 2-1 to claim the title. Throughout the match, players from both teams showcased excellent performance, but in the decisive moments, Hoshiarpur FC maintained their lead and secured the trophy.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, DFA Tarn Taran advanced to the final by defeating DFA Chamba 4-0. Meanwhile, in the second semifinal, Hoshiarpur FC secured their place in the title match by overcoming Pathankot FC with a score of 4-0.
The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Sohan Lal, the president of the District Football Association Chamba and director of Himfed. The chief guest presented trophies and cash prizes to the winning and runner-up teams.
Additionally, an exciting final match of the volleyball competition was played between the teams of Punjab and Pukhri. The Punjab team won the competition by defeating Pukhri by a margin of two points, claiming the trophy. During the closing ceremony, chief guest DSP Baldev Dutt honored the winning Punjab team and the runner-up Pukhri team by presenting them with trophies and mementos.
The chief guest praised the sportsmanship and outstanding performances of the players, urging the youth to actively participate in sports. Competition secretary Ravinder Chouna mentioned that various teams enthusiastically participated in the tournament.
