The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has decided to launch the ‘Him Bus Plus Card’ to provide better and integrated services to passengers. This card will bring the Green Card, Yellow Card, and Honor Card onto a single platform. The production of the card will begin this week at bus stations and depots across the state, and there will also be an option for online applications.

According to HRTC, the Him Bus Plus Card will be available for an annual fee of ₹365. Through this card, passengers will receive discounts on fares ranging from 5 to 15 percent based on the travel category. The corporation has decided to give passengers a month to apply for the card.

The corporation states that instead of various categories of cards, all discount benefits will now be available through a single card, making it more convenient for passengers and simplifying the card management system. After the new system is implemented, the Him Bus Plus Card will be the only card used in place of the old Green, Yellow, and Honor Cards.

HRTC has instructed all depot managers and relevant officials in the state to complete preparations for issuing the card. Necessary technical and administrative formalities are in the final stages. Starting next week, applications will be accepted at major bus stations across the state, and cards will be issued on the spot.

The Managing Director of HRTC, Nipun Jindal, stated that this new system will attract more people to public transport. It will provide economic benefits to passengers while also promoting environmental protection and green transportation.
