Ahead of Independence Day, security measures have been heightened in Kasauli, Solan district. Following threatening emails received by the SDM office in Kasauli and Army Public School, Dagshai, the administration and security agencies are on high alert. The police immediately initiated an investigation upon receiving the information, and both the cyber team and dog squad have been activated.
According to reports, a message sent from an unknown email ID on Friday included threats to target government offices and educational institutions during August 15, to write anti-national slogans, and to create an atmosphere of fear. The email also mentioned disseminating messages to the media, parents, and school management.
Sources indicate that this email was sent not only to the SDM office in Kasauli and Army Public School, Dagshai, but also to several other email addresses. Upon receiving the information, the administration took the matter seriously and informed the police and relevant security agencies.
During the investigation by the cyber team, SDM Kasauli Mahendra Pratap Singh stated that the police were immediately informed after receiving the threatening email. The police have registered a case and commenced an investigation. The cyber team has been assigned to conduct a technical analysis of the email, while the dog squad has also been put on alert for security reasons. Digital evidence is being analyzed to identify the sender, determine their actual location, and trace the source of the message.
